The Sio Silica Project: Understanding the Proposal

​Many Manitoba Stronger Together members have asked about the proposed Sio Silica sand extraction project. The project has generated considerable public discussion across Manitoba, particularly regarding environmental, economic, and community impacts. Because of the interest and questions surrounding this proposal, MST has invited representatives from the company to explain what they are proposing, how the project would operate, and what benefits they believe it could bring to Manitoba. Next week, on March 17, we will also host representatives from a community group that opposes the project so members can hear both perspectives. Important: Manitoba Stronger Together takes no official position on this project. Our goal is simply to provide a forum where members can hear both sides of the discussion and make up their own minds.
