Hello, dear members of Manitoba Stronger Together, We hope this message finds you well and filled with the same enthusiasm for community and positive change that drives us here at MST. As we approach a significant date on the calendar, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, we'd like to reach out to you for your valuable input.
Election Night Dilemma
As ALL of you are aware, October 3, 2023, is the Manitoba Provincial Election. It's a day when Manitobans exercise their democratic right to vote, and many of our dedicated members are actively involved, volunteering their time and energy to ensure a smooth and fair election process.
In our last Zoom meeting, we discussed the potential clash between our regular Tuesday Zoom call and the election night. We recognized that our members would be out voting, working at polling stations, or engaging in various election-related activities.
Your Opinion Matters
In light of this, we'd like to hear your thoughts on whether we should proceed with our regular Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Zoom meeting, or if we should make a slight adjustment to our schedule.
Proposed Plan:
Our suggestion is to cancel the Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Zoom meeting, understanding that members will be engaged in election activities. Instead, we propose to reconvene on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, with a special recap of the election.
What's on the Table:
For this special recap, we're considering a round table discussion format with guest speakers who can provide insights into the election results, the implications for our community, and how our mission aligns with the political landscape in Manitoba. It's an opportunity to reflect, discuss, and plan our next steps together.
Your Feedback:
We value your input, and your opinion will help guide our decision. Please take a moment to share your thoughts by participating in the poll below:

Should you have any questions or additional comments, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

As Phyllis wrote - I'd still go ahead with discussion. Once meetings start being moved around or cancelled, I fear interest will wane at a time when you truly want to build momentum and membership.
It's important to hold the weekly meeting to maintain a weekly pattern.
Even a small group can learn and share information.
It's also a vital time to be with others especially when we just saw polls that said
the NDP is going to take Manitoba. We shouldn't be alone. sigh
