MST Special Zoom Event – May 27, 2025 @ 6:30 PM Central
With Special Guest: Olga Jenney
If you’ve ever asked yourself “What can I do?” in the face of a political system that feels broken and unaccountable — this week’s MST Zoom call is for you.
We are thrilled to welcome Olga Jenney, a powerhouse in grassroots political action and citizen engagement. Olga has spent years working directly with everyday Canadians — families, workers, retirees, and young people — helping them understand how even small, consistent actions can shake the very foundations of Canada’s flawed political establishment.

Her message is clear and empowering: You don’t need to be a politician to change politics. Whether it’s organizing locally, contacting your MLA, or rallying your neighbours around a cause that matters, Olga will show you how real reform starts at the kitchen table — not in Ottawa.
Join us as she shares practical strategies, inspiring stories, and the tools you need to become a powerful force for change in your own community. There will be time for Q&A, so bring your questions and your passion!
LEGISLATIVE WATCH: With David Grant
Also joining us is David Grant, bringing us the latest update on our ongoing monitoring of bills in the Manitoba Legislature.
Each week, David reviews the proposals and legislation being pushed forward that could impact your rights, your communities, and your province. This is your citizen’s window into real-time democracy.

Deb Mason – News of the Week
We’re excited to welcome back Deb Mason, our very own watchtower on the Canadian landscape. Each week, Deb cuts through the noise and brings you the headlines that matter — not what the mainstream media wants you to hear, but what informed citizens need to know. From shocking developments in health policy to court rulings and emerging resistance across the provinces, Deb’s News of the Week is your antidote to media silence and spin. You’ll walk away with the knowledge you didn’t know you were missing — and likely want to share with others.

15 May 25 -Regional District of Central Kootenay has passed a motion blocking the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) from dumping hundreds of ostrich carcasses into the local landfill — unless the agency can prove the birds are actually infected with avian flu.
This comes as tensions escalate at Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, B.C., where 400 healthy ostriches remain under threat of slaughter by federal order. The CFIA claims two birds tested positive months ago for H5N1 based on PCR results — but the farm’s owners, Karen and Dave, say the rest of their flock has developed natural immunity and may never have been sick with H5N1 in the first place.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is preparing to issue new guidance for vaccine manufacturers in the coming days as part of a new “radical framework.” The guidance will likely focus on the COVID-19 shots, The Washington Post reported Thursday, citing comments by FDA Commissioner Marty Makary earlier this week.
The Post published its story earlier Thursday, before The Wall Street Journal reported that unnamed sources at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said HHS is expected to announce within days that it will no longer recommend COVID-19 shots for children, teens and pregnant women.

What Our Logo Means
The logo for Manitoba Stronger Together incorporates elements that symbolize unity, community, and the strength of the bison.
Bison Icon: Is a silhouette of a stylized representation of a bison, symbolizing strength, resilience, and unity. The bison is depicted in a side stance, representing progress and moving together as a community.
The vertical stripes: represent that the movement includes all people from all walks of life, all beliefs and all political affiliations.
The Horizontal Connecting Lines: across the bison represent the connections and interdependence of community members, emphasizing the concept of being stronger together.
Blue Tones: The blue in the logo design represents growth, harmony, and the natural beauty of Manitoba's landscapes.
Dynamic Font: We choose a strong and modern bold font for the organization's name "Manitoba Stronger Together" to convey a sense of confidence and forward-thinking.
Let us continue to unite, ignite our passions, and work towards building a stronger and united Manitoba. Together, we will shape the future we want and deserve.
Keep an eye out for our next meeting announcement, and let us walk this transformative journey as one!
