Unlock the Future: Learn How to Use AI for Political Advocacy!

MST Special Zoom Event – May 20, 2025 @ 6:30 PM Central

You’ve heard the buzz. You’ve seen the headlines. Maybe you’ve even wondered, “What exactly is Artificial Intelligence, and what does it have to do with me?”

Whether you are intrigued by AI, worried about its implications, or completely unfamiliar with it, one thing is certain: AI is not going away. It is transforming the way people gather information, communicate with their communities, and influence governments.

The question is: will you be ready?

At Manitoba Stronger Together (MST), we believe knowledge is power. Understanding how AI works and how it is already impacting our world is vital to every citizen, activist, and advocate. Even if you never personally use it, you must understand what it is, how it’s being used, and how it may shape political advocacy in the future.

This is your invitation to take that first step.

This MST Zoom Call Could Change the Way You Work Forever

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 6:30 PM Central, we invite you to join us for a groundbreaking workshop:AI Fundamentals for Political Advocacy

This special session will be presented by Ken Drysdale, respected independent researcher, analyst, and author. Ken is the former Chairperson of the National Citizens Inquiry (NCI), where he led one of the most significant independent investigations into government conduct and citizen rights in recent Canadian history.

Ken is also a seasoned investigator with over 40 years of experience in forensic analysis, engineering investigations, and public consultation. His passion for truth, accountability, and citizen empowerment makes him uniquely qualified to help you navigate the fast-changing world of Artificial Intelligence and how it can be applied to grassroots activism.

This is NOT a tech lecture. It’s a hands-on, practical training session designed for real-world political action.

You will learn how to:

Research political topics fast and effectively

Draft clear, persuasive letters to politicians and public officials

Leverage AI to sharpen your message and extend your reach

You Don’t Have to Agree With AI to Learn From It

Some people are excited by the possibilities of AI. Others are deeply concerned. But no matter where you stand, understanding AI has now become an essential skill for any engaged citizen and activist.

Even if you never intend to use it, understanding what AI can do (and what it can’t do) allows you to protect yourself, strengthen your advocacy, and make more informed decisions about how you engage with public officials and government systems.

This session will focus specifically on ChatGPT, a powerful language model created by OpenAI, and how it can be safely and responsibly used by political advocates.

Why You MUST Attend

  • Learn how to sign up for a free ChatGPT account

  • Watch a live demo on how to use it for research and letter writing

  • Receive an exclusive MST Quick Start Guide and Cheat Sheet

  • Get answers to your most pressing questions during a live Q&A

This session will also be recorded and made available afterward on our MST Rumble Channel.

#1 News of Week

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week gave a U.K.-based biotech company the green light to produce gene-edited pigs for human consumption in the U.S.  PIC, formerly the Pig Improvement Company, uses CRISPR gene-editing technology to genetically engineer pigs to be resistant to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), a viral infection that affects pigs produced in industrial factory farms, according to Technology ReviewCRISPR gene editing makes it possible for scientists to manipulate an animal’s own DNA, rather than adding DNA from other species to it, as has been done with previous genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

#2 News of Week

The Florida House of Representatives last week passed a bill to ban and criminalize geoengineering and weather modification,

The bill makes it a third-degree felony to release any chemical, substance or apparatus into Florida’s atmosphere to affect the weather or climate.  It imposes a penalty of up to $100,000 for any person or corporation and up to $5,000 and five years in prison for an aircraft controller or pilot involved in such releases.

“There is a lot of unauthorized activity that is currently not regulated, both at a federal and a state level, and this is where we wanted to start,” Sen. Ileana Garcia, who introduced the bill, told members of the Senate.

The bill has cleared both the House and the Senate and awaits Gov. Ron DeSantis’ signature.

#3 News of Week

Wind turbines are destroying wildlife, including endangered species, such as whales, eagles and migratory birds, due to collisions, sonar surveys and other hazards.

The construction and operation of wind turbines and their associated infrastructure, such as transmission lines, can have devastating effects on marine life, including physical deformities, disorientation and disruptions to migratory patterns and habitats.

In addition to the hazards to marine and bird life, wind power increases the demand for rare earths, the mining for which involves serious threats to human health and the environment.

  1. Member Discussion (5)

THIS WEEKS READ

This Week’s Read: Freedom of Expression

Loss of the Right to Freedom of Expression

Of all of the rights that were violated under the Charter, the NCI heard that the freedom of expres-

sion was the most essential, and its violation was the most impactful. Medical professionals were

instructed not to speak out against public health messaging and were disciplined by their govern-

ing bodies if they did. Scientists were dismissed from their positions, dropped by media outlets

where they had previously spoken, and censored on the Internet.

Freedom of expression, belief, and conscience is the cornerstone of a liberal democracy. It is not

an accident that it is the first fundamental freedom described in the Canadian Charter. Freedom of

expression and tolerance of diversity of opinion fosters respectful debate. Through this, innovation

is fostered, and society improves.

The Canadian justice system did not support Canadians‘ freedom of expression where it conflicted

with the public health messaging of the government. This was coupled with undue deference to

government officials who had unfettered discretion to enact rights-violating measures that went

unchallenged by the courts.

Stay alert. Stay informed. Be the voice for Canadian sovereignty and individual liberty.

Please join on time, we start and finish on time.

Usually I am in the chat ten minutes before the start of the meeting!

What Our Logo Means

The logo for Manitoba Stronger Together incorporates elements that symbolize unity, community, and the strength of the bison.

  1. Bison Icon: Is a silhouette of a stylized representation of a bison, symbolizing strength, resilience, and unity. The bison is depicted in a side stance, representing progress and moving together as a community.

  2. The vertical stripes: represent that the movement includes all people from all walks of life, all beliefs and all political affiliations.

  3. The Horizontal Connecting Lines: across the bison represent the connections and interdependence of community members, emphasizing the concept of being stronger together.

  4. Blue Tones: The blue in the logo design represents growth, harmony, and the natural beauty of Manitoba's landscapes.

  5. Dynamic Font: We choose a strong and modern bold font for the organization's name "Manitoba Stronger Together" to convey a sense of confidence and forward-thinking.

Let us continue to unite, ignite our passions, and work towards building a stronger and united Manitoba. Together, we will shape the future we want and deserve.

Keep an eye out for our next meeting announcement, and let us walk this transformative journey as one!
