  8. Wins of the Week (3)

    1. #1 Pick of the week An arbitrator has revoked part of Canada Postโ€™s mandatory COVID-19 vaccine policy for employees, ruling it was โ€œunreasonableโ€ to suspend remote staff without pay for not confirming their vaccination status. ย ย  The ruling comes in response to a case filed by the Union of Postal Communications Employees (UPCE). The union argued that the stated objective of federal vaccine mandatesโ€”to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the workplaceโ€”was not served by requiring that remote workers be vaccinated. ย ย ย  Arbitrator Michelle Flaherty agreed, saying the practice was โ€œunreasonableโ€ when applied to fully remote employees. ย  โ€œIn essence, the employerโ€™s position is that it can prescribe activities, including medical procedures like vaccination, simply because this could increase the likelihood an employee will be available to work,โ€ she wrote. โ€œTo the extent that any such interest exists, this is outweighed by the important interests at stake for the employees in question, including their privacy and their financial and economic interest in ongoing paid employment.โ€ https://www.theepochtimes.com/world/canada-posts-suspension-of-unvaccinated-remote-workers-during-pandemic-was-unreasonable-arbitrator-rules-5649790

    2. #2 Pick of the week ย ย  U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials Dr. Janet Woodcock, principal deputy commissioner of food and drugs and Peter Marks, M.D., Ph.D., director of the FDAโ€™s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, knew about COVID-19 vaccine injuries in early 2021, according to documents obtained by Childrenโ€™s Health Defense (CHD). ย ย  The same documents revealed that Dr. Anthony Fauciย knew COVID-19ย vaccines were causing serious injuries within days of their rollout in December 2020. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and people who contacted the agency about injuries they sustained after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. CHD requested the documents via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requestย in November 2022. On April 12, 2023, CHD sued the NIHย to obtain the records after the NIH failed to respond to the FOIA request. In an October 2023 settlement, the NIH agreedย to produce up to 7,500 pagesย of documents at a rate of 300 pages per month. https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/chd-foia-fda-officials-covid-vaccine-injuries-early-2021/

    3. ย #3 Pick of the week ย ย  Lawyers representing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a political action committee supporting his presidential bid on Monday sued Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, after the company censored a biographical film about Kennedy and his work challenging corporate corruption. ย ย  The case alleges Meta โ€œis brazenly censoring speechโ€ by and in support of Kennedy โ€” Childrenโ€™s Health Defenseย (CHD) founder and chairman-on-leave โ€” โ€œand lying to the public about it.โ€ https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/rfk-jr-super-pac-meta-censorship-lawsuit/?utm_id=20240514

What Our Logo Means

The logo for Manitoba Stronger Together incorporates elements that symbolize unity, community, and the strength of the bison. โ€‹

  1. Bison Icon: Is a silhouette of a stylized representation of a bison, symbolizing strength, resilience, and unity. The bison is depicted in a side stance, representing progress and moving together as a community.

  2. The vertical stripes: represent that the movement includes all people from all walks of life, all beliefs and all political affiliations.

  3. The Horizontal Connecting Lines: across the bison represent the connections and interdependence of community members, emphasizing the concept of being stronger together.

  4. Blue Tones: The blue in the logo design represents growth, harmony, and the natural beauty of Manitoba's landscapes.

  5. Dynamic Font: We choose a strong and modern bold font for the organization's name "Manitoba Stronger Together" to convey a sense of confidence and forward-thinking.

ย

Let us continue to unite, ignite our passions, and work towards building a stronger and united Manitoba. Together, we will shape the future we want and deserve.

Keep an eye out for our next meeting announcement, and let us walk this transformative journey as one!

Stay united, stay empowered, and stay strong!

In solidarity,

The Manitoba Stronger Together Team
